For a long time, the pandemic had numbed us from feeling because we were drowning in too much stimulus. Our brains had become hardwired to pick up on a filtered gist of the number of deaths, the disappointments with vaccines arriving on time, and cocooning away in our lockdown lives, limiting our conversations with those numbered few. It was our way of feeling safe, distance kept us healthy, and the news was not a popular medium for many.
